Teach Simple

Project Concept

We are Teach Simple, a team dedicated to making learning effortless through AI-driven reasoning. Using OpenAI’s Realtime API and O1 model, we’re building a bot that explains any topic using the Feynman Technique—breaking down complex ideas into simple, intuitive explanations. Our goal is to transform learning through real-time voice interaction, adaptive questioning, and iterative refinement, ensuring deep understanding for every user. 🚀

Amey Borkar Team Lead RSVP Approved

ML & AI Engineer at DF Young
I focused on integrating OpenAI’s Realtime API and the O1 model for reasoning into the bot. I worked on setting up the core logic for real-time user input processing and developing the backend functionality that allows the bot to break down complex topics using the Feynman Technique.
I’m an AI/ML Engineer & Data Scientist with hands-on experience building predictive models, end-to-end ML pipelines, and LLM-powered applications. My work spans across industry, research, and hackathons — centered on using AI to drive real-world impact. At DF Young, I’m currently leading efforts to extract hidden business value from logistics data for enterprise clients. From developing predictive reorder models to prototyping Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for uncovering complex relationships, I focus on delivering actionable insights that improve supply chain decision-making. At DSM-Firmenich, I built machine learning and deep learning models that enhanced flavor formulation accuracy by 20%.
I'm passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI, including Generative AI, LLMs, and Graph Neural Networks, to solve complex business problems, particularly in supply chain and logistics. I am eager to connect with engineers, researchers, and founders who are building innovative, data-driven products. I'm currently seeking full-time AI/ML Engineer or Data Scientist roles where I can contribute to developing impactful, end-to-end machine learning solutions.

Michael Griffin RSVP Approved

Master's Degree Candidate at Pace University
Michael also worked on the frontend, focusing on the user experience and making sure the bot’s responses were displayed clearly. He collaborated with Ritik to design the visual elements and ensure that the overall look and feel of the app was engaging and accessible.
I am a career-changer, a former middle school science teacher with 8 years of experience in STEM education, who taught and coached in the Bronx. I hold a B.A. from the University of Michigan, a M.Ed from Bank Street College of Education and am now enrolled at Pace University as a master's degree candidate in Data Science.
I have a passion for AI-powered education solutions, and for data visualization and analytics.
I've been working on building a Flask app to track the sentiment of news outlets to Elon Musk. Because I'm a full-time graduate student, I am also working on sports-based Tensorflow projects in the course of my studies.

Ritik Kale RSVP Approved

Software engineer Intern at Speakhire
Ritik worked on the frontend of the project, creating an intuitive and user-friendly interface. He designed the layout and ensured that the bot’s interactions with users were smooth and easy to follow, allowing users to focus on learning rather than on navigating the interface.
Ritik Kale is a Software Engineer Intern at SPEAKHIRE, currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at Pace University. With a background in Computer Engineering from his undergraduate studies and previous experience as a Software Engineer at Capgemini, Ritik has developed responsive web applications and honed his skills in programming languages like Java, Python, and JavaScript. His technical expertise spans web technologies including ReactJS, Redux, and NextJS, with certifications from Pluralsight and Capgemini. Passionate about full-stack development and AI-driven solutions, Ritik is actively working on projects such as a Gesture Based Cursor Control System and a Concert Ticket Booking app, demonstrating his commitment to innovative software engineering.
Full stack Development, Building Applications using AI models to help solve real time problems
Currently working on a Gesture Based Cursor Control System and The Venue Concert Ticket Booking app using technologies like React, Next.js, and TypeScript. As a Software Engineer Intern at SPEAKHIRE, he is likely developing web applications and exploring full-stack development projects with a focus on AI-driven solutions and innovative user interface designs.

Deep mehta RSVP Denied

Graduate Student at Pace University
Deep contributed to the backend development, working alongside me to ensure that the bot’s reasoning capabilities are robust. He helped in optimizing the integration with the Realtime API and fine-tuned the logic behind the step-by-step explanations provided by the bot.
I am Deep Mehta, a data scientist and AI researcher passionate about building machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision solutions. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science and actively developing AI-driven projects, including real-time chatbots, AI agents, and intelligent automation tools. I specialize in Python, SQL, LangChain, OpenAI models, and vector databases like ChromaDB, using these technologies to create web content interaction tools, skill development trackers, and automated job application systems. I enjoy participating in hackathons, collaborating with industry experts, and pushing the boundaries of AI innovation. I continuously explore retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), autonomous agents, and real-time AI processing to develop transformative AI solutions. My goal is to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and automation across industries through cutting-edge AI applications.
I am currently interested in learning more about advanced machine learning techniques, especially in the areas of natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision. I'm particularly drawn to the application of deep learning models like transformers for NLP and object detection for computer vision tasks. I'm also exploring AI ethics, fairness, and explainability in machine learning models. In terms of potential collaborators, I'm looking to connect with professionals or researchers who specialize in: AI and ML research, particularly in developing cutting-edge models Data science and analytics, with a focus on solving real-world business problems Software engineers with expertise in deploying machine learning models to production AI ethics and policy experts, especially those with experience in ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability…
I’m currently working on building an AI-powered chatbot that interacts with websites in real-time, extracting and analyzing relevant content dynamically. The project leverages LangChain, OpenAI embeddings, and ChromaDB to enable contextual responses based on website content. Additionally, I’m exploring AI agent development for various applications, including automated job applications (Job Bot) and document-based Q&A systems that help users interact with educational materials more effectively. Given my experience, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and real-time AI processing, I’m excited to push the boundaries of real-time voice and reasoning AI at this hackathon, integrating cutting-edge architectures for sub-second interactions.
