This month’s AI Tinkerers demo day is focused on a specific question: what happens when software doesn’t just get built with AI, but behaves differently because of it?
We’re entering a new phase of software. Code can be generated from intent. Interfaces can adapt to the person using them. Systems can observe their own failures, respond to changing conditions, and improve while running.
We’re joined by Sky Valley this month to discuss generative software with builders. Not just AI-assisted development, but software that writes, heals, and personalizes itself in production. We want to see systems with meaningful runtime adaptation or autonomous feedback loops. Things that respond to user behavior, detect failure states, reconfigure themselves, or close the loop on outcomes.
No slide decks please. Just working systems and the people who built them.
What To Expect
- Short technical talks + live demos. Show the system, not the idea.
- Real adaptive behavior. Runtime personalization, self-correction, autonomous feedback loops, and production systems that change based on what they observe.
- A builders’ room. Founders, developers, designers, and product people building software that is dynamic, responsive, and increasingly agentic.
- Pizza, little bites, soda.
Date & time: May 13 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Location: New York City, NY (exact address provided to accepted attendees)

We want demos that answer the prompt: How is your software adapting at runtime? Examples:
- A UI that generates or restructures itself based on how a specific user behaves
- A backend service that detects its own failure patterns and patches around them
- A deployment node that rewrites or reroutes a feature based on user signal
- A coding agent with a self-correction loop that closes on outcome, not output
- Generative onboarding that personalizes in real time
- Systems that rewrite prompts, flows, or interfaces based on observed usage
- Products that tune themselves continuously instead of waiting for manual updates
- Internal tools that detect breakdowns and reconfigure the workflow automatically
Pitch decks are not allowed. We want to see your work in progress, no matter how messy.

Please note: capacity is limited, so we’ll prioritize folks who can present a demo.
Demo vibes
A demo is about five minutes and shows a work in progress, followed by Q\&A and discussion with the community. That’s the best part.
Pitch decks are not allowed. We want to see the thing working.
Event Partner: Sky Valley
We’re doing this one with Sky Valley, who are building infrastructure for adaptive software.
Their core idea is that AI changed how software gets built, but most software still behaves like it always has once it ships: static, fixed, and waiting for the next deploy. Sky Valley is building toward a different model, where software can keep evolving in production based on user behavior, intent, and real-world feedback. They describe this as a shift from “deploy-and-freeze” to “ship-and-evolve.”
That makes them a natural fit for this demo day. The theme here is software that writes, heals, and personalizes itself at runtime, and Sky Valley is thinking about the infrastructure layer that could make more of that possible. Their broader vision is software that stays fluid after deployment instead of becoming static the moment it goes live.

Veris AI accelerates agent development and deployment with a simulation sandbox platform that delivers robust, compliant AI systems at speed. Veris sandbox is pre-loaded with test scenarios, simulated tools, and personas. Using the sandbox, you can run thousands of simulated interactions across routine workflows, challenging edge cases, and adversarial scenarios. Veris AI creates root-cause analysis reports, regression testing gates, and prompt or RL optimization loops to improve the agent using these interactions before the agent touches the first real system or customer.
What is AI Tinkerers?
AI Tinkerers is a meetup for practitioners with technical, machine learning, and entrepreneurial backgrounds who are actively building with modern AI systems. It’s a place to share work in progress, compare notes with peers, and meet other people shipping real things.
Who is this for?
This is for people actively building.
If you’re a founder, developer, designer, or product person working on systems that adapt in production, personalize dynamically, or close autonomous feedback loops, you’ll probably like this room.
If you’re mostly here to watch decks or talk in abstractions, this is probably not your meetup.
