Most emotionally intelligent AI just detects your mood and mirrors it back.
You sound frustrated, it gets gentle. You sound excited, it matches your energy.
But it never asks whether you’ve actually explained WHY something happened.
We built an interview agent that combines structured causal analysis with
real-time emotional perception to ask better follow-up questions.
Emotionally intelligent AI shouldn’t just mirror how you feel.
It should understand what you haven’t explained yet — and know exactly when to ask.
Interesting Finding: The experiment was successful and it looks like high intensity emotion distracts the agent, unless explicitly prompted to stay focused on the important bits.
